THE COMPLETE TENSE BREAKDOWN:

For many ESL students, the subject of 'tenses' can seem daunting. However, what most students may not realize is that tenses are quite straightforward. In English, we have three tenses: the past, the present, and the future. It's typically easy to identify whether an action occurred in one of these tenses. The real challenge often lies in determining the appropriate aspect to use. An aspect is used to describe whether an action is completed, ongoing, or repeated. In English, we have four aspects: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous.

In this e-book, we will explore how each tense interacts with its respective aspect, when to use them, the correct methods for forming positive, negative, and interrogative sentences, along with additional grammar concepts to provide you with a comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of English verb tense and verb aspects.
